Description
Originating in the highlands of Sumatra, these Arabica beans are celebrated for their full, syrupy body and a deeply layered flavor profile. Processed using the traditional wet-hulling (giling basah) method, they develop signature earthy, herbal, and cedar notes, complemented by dark chocolate and subtle spice. Grown at 1,100 to 1,500 meters, the beans achieve a distinctive density and a low, lingering acidity. This bean is a roasters choice for creating powerful single-origin dark roasts or as a foundational element in complex espresso blends. Hand-sorted for consistency, these beans are shipped to a precise 10–12.5% moisture, ensuring optimal flavor development. They respond beautifully to a dark roast, revealing their sweet, robust character just past second crack, delivering a consistently rich and rewarding cup.
